About me
I received my Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Radio/Television Production which provided the knowledge and experience of the video/ audio production process. This has given experience with pre-production (planning, scripting, coordination,) production (recording,) & post-production (video editing, audio editing, and distribution.) My education also includes 3 years of training in leadership through my time involved in Student Life as a student at Seminole State College of Florida and as an AmeriCorps Apprentice with Public Allies of Central Florida. I am also certified in Mental Health First Aid. Currently, I work as the Coordinator of Career Development at the Altamonte Springs Campus at Seminole State College of Florida. I enjoy working with students, faculty, staff, and alumni in the areas of major/career exploration, exploring job shadowing and internships, and employability skills such as resume reviews, interview prep, job search assistance, networking skills and more. I bring all of my experiences in my own career to those appointments along with understanding where the person I am working with is coming from. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Education in Educational Technology and Instructional Design from Western Governors University. My goal is to tie this degree in the realm of career development and use some of my video production skills when necessary to create engaging interactive learning materials on that topic. I have been involved in FloridaACE in multiple committees: Conference Planning, Awards and Nominations, Membership Engagement, and Conference Entertainment., Outside my career, I enjoy spending time with family and dog, walking, and being involved in growing my creative skills in voice-over, drawing, video production, presenting, and other creative outlets.
