About me
Dr. Harris Ambush is an experienced educator, program creator, and community impact leader whose work spans local and international contexts in education, community building, and human development. He has taught and led programs in diverse settings around the world, serving learners from kindergarten through college and beyond, and brings a distinctive perspective on the evolving landscape of education and community engagement. Dr. Ambush earned a BS in International Business, an MA in Education, and an EdD in Educational Psychology, with a focus on holistic learning, leadership, and community building. While teaching elementary school, he founded Hands 4 Hope, a nonprofit organization supporting communities affected by natural and man‑made disasters. Under his leadership, the organization directly assisted communities in 11 countries across four continents following major disaster events. He is the co‑founder of RadSchools.org, an Adjunct Instructor at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, and currently serves as Internship & Career Experiences Coordinator and Career Counselor at USF St. Petersburg’s Center for Career & Professional Development. Dr. Ambush has been invited to speak nationally and internationally on community building and educational innovation. His work has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Bay News 9 Everyday Hero Award, the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce Good “Burger” Award, the USFSP Golden Apple Award for Teaching, and the Southeastern Regional Association of Teacher Educators Innovation in Teacher Education Award.
